Privacy Policy

• Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password when you create a customer account. We never store your password in plain text.
• Order & delivery information: recipient name, phone number, delivery location, order items, and any notes you provide to fulfil your order.
• Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner (PayChangu). We receive a transaction reference and status; we do not store full card or mobile-money credentials.
• Usage & device data: basic technical data (such as app/OS version and error logs) used to operate and improve the Service.

We use your information to:

• create and secure your account;
• process, deliver, and support your orders;
• process payments and prevent fraud;
• communicate about your orders and account (including verification and password-reset emails);
• improve our products, features, and customer support.

The Service uses essential cookies and secure tokens to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). The mobile app stores session and preference data securely on your device. These are required for the Service to function.

We share limited data with trusted providers strictly to operate the Service:

• Cloudinary — product image hosting;
• PayChangu — payment processing;
• Hosting & infrastructure (e.g. Vercel, PostgreSQL) — application hosting and storage;
• Email delivery — verification and password-reset emails.

We do not sell your personal information.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Order and transaction records may be retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

You may access, correct, or delete your account information. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data as described below. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection laws.

You may request deletion of your MAKAZ-TECH account and associated personal data at any time. To do so, email contact@makaztech.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. You can also see the full steps on our account deletion page.

We will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
